Look! It’s the apartment tour that no one asked to see but here I am blogging it anyways, because I’m caught up on wedding galleries for the first time in a BIT! Quarantine has resulted in many DIY apartment things and I wanted to document. Plus, my dad (who also happens to be our landlord, how convenient), did lots of renovations on this condo last summer while we were on our backpacking trip, and he deserves some quality photos of his handy work to show off to his friends.
So! Let’s start with my current favorite room in out little home: Our bedroom. I think its my fave for a couple reasons. It’s the brightest room, and it’s home to some of my most recent DIY projects. Lot’s of mirrors to make the room feel bigger & also plants. Lots of plants that I just got & really hope I can keep alive. Oh and a sweet little built in shelf in our baño! Pillow, bedding, standing mirror, picture frames, large white planter & bone-inlay side table are all from Homegoods & TJ Maxx. Man I miss those places so much right now. Bed was designed by yours truly & built by dad as a wedding gift 3 years ago! Everything else was thrifted or found while traveling.
Next up is this area between the living room & kitchen. I love this bright lil’ spot. Mirror & glass vase are from IKEA. Wall hanging, knobs, & pillow are from Homegoods. Everything else is thrifted!
Now for the kitchen. This is where my dad went hard on the renovations. I can’t take credit for anything done in here! Concrete bar, wood counters, & a subway tile backsplash. A major upgrade from our first kitchen back in Boca! And he built these custom barn doors for laundry & pantry.
This room serves lots of purpose in this little place. It’s an office, music room, art studio, and sometimes guest bedroom when friends are visiting. (We love air mattresses over here!). Usually the office space looks a bit different when I’m using it, but since Braden is working from home during all of this, his engineering gear has taken over temporarily. Fake TJMaxx plants for the win, frames from Homegoods, Ikea shelf brackets, and the prettiest silk rug that we found while looking for gyros in Athens.
Last but not least, the living/ dining area. Most of the furniture in these spots came with the rental, so all we did was add some decor. My dad & I made the floating shelf above the couch to put some of my prints on. All of the frames are from Old Time Pottery. Such a good spot if you’re looking for cheap frames! Braden made all of the surfboard racks. Rug & real plants are from HomeDepot, pillows & fake plants from Homegoods! Per usual, all other decor is thrifted. You can find these prints & a LOT of others on my print shop: https://kyliebraydynphoto.pic-time.com/-printshop/gallery
Thanks for coming on this little virtual tour if you made it this far!! Stay safe & healthy, peeps!
